Really really heavy shower here right now, absolutely pelting down with a very gusty wind. Thermometer didn't survive the winter, but it's around 7c.

Sunny periods this morning saw off half the snow cover by 1015 g.m.t leaving just a few bits in the shade at present.

A dry morning from 0800 g.m.t until a few minutes ago when a shower of snow pellets started.

Sunny spells in Cleadon, though there was a very cold gusty wind this morning. It fell to 2.4C last night, with some heavy rain and sleet around 2:30-3am. There was a short sharp shower of soft hail at 2pm and at 3:30pm a few stray hailstones fell from what looked like an innocuous cumulus cloud. High of 8.6C.
