Cooler today but still pleasantly warm in the very hazy sun now at 12c max

Considering theres been no fog,it`s been one of the haziest days since the summers of the 80`s,Iceland`s volcano ash in the atmosphere, blue skies are not blue, that`s the notable thing today.

Odd spots of light of rain at times too.

Dry and mostly cloudy in Norwich but there has been a little sunshine at times, notably in the evening. There has been some high-level cloud in the form of altocumulus and cirrocumulus, and some cumulus below it at times.

The most striking aspect of today's weather is the impression of an extremely polluted/dusty atmosphere up towards the level of the high-level cloud, yet not extending down to the surface (a layer of "cleaner" air, with less dispersing of sunlight, is clearly evident near the surface). I'm pretty sure this must be a signature of the volcanic ash.

An awful day, made even worse thinking that just 2 days ago it was absolutely gorgeous. Light/moderate rain for much of the day and a max of just 7.8c. Now 6.2c with the sky gradually clearing.

Coolish today with mostly cloudy skies. The odd gap here and there in the medium level clouds allowing some brightness the flood the area, with temperatures reaching upto 12/13*C in the early afternoon. The temperatures now down to 8.6*C, but I would confess that it feels more like 6*C outside. Moderate Northerly winds with the pressure at 1016 millibars with cloudy skies still.

Skies threatened to bring showers all day, however, apart from the odd spit and spot here and there is was yet another dry day - the 12th in a row.

A cool day in the main particularly during the morning and lunchtime, however, with the sun bursting through this afternoon we did hit 12 degrees.

Its jolly cold now already down to 1 degrees, however, cloud is predicted to spill in overnight preventing an air frost, but we are in firmly cold air so mins of 2 degrees probable early morning.

The next three nights look equally cold if not colder with a cold surface high pressure, many gardeners could be caught out, Highlands could see some notably cold nights for late April where cloud clears. Widespread air frosts for many tomorrow and wednesday night I expect.
