My daughter and the local builder e mailed me this article both at the same time out of the New Scientest as I had said to both of them last Christmas that I thought there was a link between the lack of Northern Lights in the last 4 years and the cooler winters we experienced during this time. Next winter may be very interesting if the sun stays quiet.

Never mind the winter!!! If this summer has a propensity for H.P. systems over the UK ,and we are midst the warmest global year ever recorded, we may even get a summer this year!!!! (though it's curtains for the Polar ice)
