36.3mm rain overnight - but not the slightest hint of a rumour of a speculation of a thought of thunder.

Fairly cool today started at 2c this morning and now 8c. Wind from the north and scattered light showers. Surrounding summits have a fresh snowcap. Sun has come out in the last hour and now a fine day for working in the garden with the soil surface drying up again. Hope to put cows and calves out to grass for the summer this afternoon, no more weekend feeding hooray!!!

Up to a high of 6.4 degrees centigrade in Buxton. Heating is on full blast, both central and portable heater. Tis is the worst and longest winter I can remember, specialy considering it's not ended yet.

A c-c-ch-chi-ch-chilly d-day today with temperatures just above 7*C and an invasion of clouds in the sky. A cold Northerly wind blowing at approximately ten miles a hour. The odd spot of rain for a time, too, otherwise a mostly rain-free day (except overnight).

Feels like Winter has dashed back.
