Its a chilly morning with a stiff NE wiind, but its bright with sun out but with some cloud about of mainly cumulus.

A bright, but breezy and cool feeling start to the day. There were sunny spells, but also frequent short showers of hail and rain, feeling very cool, especially in the fresh east to north east wind, the top temperature reached 10.9c briefly, but was for the most part around 7 or 8c.

Well unbelievably here the temperature has now fallen to 4c dew point 2c with heavy rain and this is quite remarkable for this far south at the beginning of May!

Considering the very warm weather last week this is a big shock to the system!

Very cold this morning with a min temp of 1.7C - making it the coldest May night since 2001 and 6th coldest since 1983. A pretty nice day though with mostly clear conditions though cool with a max of 11.8C.
