Currently 2C after a cold night, down to -2C at Glasgow Airport although that is a bit of a frost hollow. Having said that, air frost twice in May is pretty rare :)

I think it should be another nice day today, the sun is splitting the sky and not a cloud in sight. We have our village agricultural show today and I am glad to say after last year's cold rainy washout that we have a nice day for it today :)

Cloudy and windy with intermittent light rain although, having said that, a few holes have appeared in the cloud sheet in the past half hour. The NE wind was gusting to 46 mph at 0700 g.m.t.

Temp' is 5.5c after a min' of 4.3c

Rainfall in 24hrs ending 0800 g.m.t, 3.3 mm

Mean wind speed is 23 mph NE

Vis', 15 km.

A damp and cold morning with a strong east wind. Some brightness but looks like more drizzly rain coming in the east to follow. Horrible!

crikey that windchill out there is bracing to say the least lol.

Sure is, gusting to 30 MPH here, temp. 8C, rather bizarrely my station is reporting a wind chill of 0.7C !!!

The only good thing I can say about today is that I got the weather forecast right! Dull with drizzly rain, a nagging northeaster, and temperatures of 8C.

Hi all It is cloudy and quite chilly in a NE breeze and there is the odd spot of rain falling every now and then.

Can't seem to get the temperature where I am but i will say the Temperatures in other parts of the IOW.

In Bleaktown it is 9.6c

Freshwater is 10.3c

there 2 weather stations in Newport 1 part of newport is 10.4c

other part of Newport which is central Newport is 12.2c

Okay since my earlier report this afternoon became more cloudy and the clouds was starting to look alot darker and heavier and kept giving outbreaks of mainly light rain on and off. By about 4pm the rain got a bit heavier and there was some moderate bursts every now and then and became quite persistant, the winds have been dead calm but it still felt quite cold.

Temperatures around the Island show:

Central Newport: 9.4c

Outskirts of Newport: 9.0c

Freshwater: 8.8c

Newchurch/sandown: 8.7c which is where I am

Wroxal: 8.4c

Bleaktown: 8.2c

So only a 1.2c temperature contrast around the Island and yeh fairly chilly :D
