Hi all

Today has been another Interesting day with a few showers about and one came over with a huge CB and also what looked like a wall cloud as it passed over. As the day went on we have been played by more showers but along with some decent sunny spells and light winds and has not felt as cold as it has done for the pass 2 days due to the lighter winds.

Current Temperatures around the Island starting from the Highest:

1. Newchurch/ Sandown: 12.5c

2. Newport: 12.5c

3. Freshwater: 12.2c

4. Woxall: 11.8c

5. Bleaktown: 11.2c

Maximum Temperatures:

1. Newport: 13.7c

2. Freshwater: 12.9c

3. Newchurch/ Sandown: 12.9c

4. Bleaktown: 12.8c

5. Wroxall: 12.4c

Minimum Temperatures:

1. Wroxall: 0.9c

2. Freshwater: 2.5c

3. Newport: 2.6c

4. Newchurch/ Sandown: 3.4c

5. Bleaktown: 3.6c

So overally Maximum and Minimum Temperatures are up by about 1c than the previous 2 days so all in all the rise in temperatures begins :)

Another clear and cold start this morning with a min temp of 0.7C. Quite a notable ground frost but just a little too close to the coast here for an air frost. The day has continued in much the same vane with long clear periods and well broken cloud. Maximum temperature 13.0C, so the mildest day since the 5th, but still well below average for mid-May.

Currently 11.9C with 58% humidity.

A mean of 14.0C is required here for the final 18 days of the month just to reach average now.

Nearest weather station record I can find recorded another -2 degrees last night, I actually think it was colder than this here, so a very cold night for May - third successive air frost.

Max of 12.5 degrees so not too bad, but still below average.

Looks like we will see alt of cloud cover tonight so no frost.
