Cold overnight with ground frost, low –0.6c on the grass and 2.6c in the screen. Clouding over before dawn with a few spots of light rain, though only enough to leave a trace here. Brightening up with sunny spells towards the observation. Sunny spells develop through the morning and continued in to the afternoon, feeling pleasant in the sunshine, top temperature 15.9c. Maximum wind gust 24mph W.

Its a mostly clear day with a few clouds here and there, bit of a breeze to. Temp now at 16.9C. Looking out over the Bristol Channel thismorning and i saw a distinct thin gray cloud, possibly ash? looked different to all the other clouds and can still see it now, but not as much as earlier!

Edit: Actually its not as clear as i thought, to my north there is alot of cloud, unlike the south where there is not so much!

Well that’s my forecast gone for a Burton, just had a short sharp hail shower here, (large grit size) not sure where that came from, as nothing showing on the metoex radar, turned completely overcast here now with dark cumulonimbus clouds to the north.

A few showers about early this morning- surprising really, they drifted down from north-east England according to the radar, and they appeared to form over land just past midnight- presumably some "forcing agent" was at work.

Cumulus clouds sprouting up and a fair amount of sunshine, so amidst this week-long spell of weather that has always promised some convective precipitation but never delivered in Norwich, perhaps today is the day when it will deliver.
