Are we likely to see the same intensity of storms in east kent as we did yesterday or are they for much further west and north this time?

Got some intense showers forming around me, its currently belting it down here.

Looking interesting as the sun tried breaking through and it came hazy.

A really small chance that it may get interesting, certainly these showers are convective ahead of the front.

I think we'll have to wait until this band of rain moves through before we see the best of any convective activity, once the sun gets going with the air so unstable..

Multiple rumbles of thunder from the shower to my south although I haven't seen any lightning yet.

I hope not, I'd rather the south / south west get some storms, being in Hampshire we're always the breeding ground for the storms heading towards London / Kent.

Need some much needed rain and a thunderstorm would just be the cherry on top.

Can concur with the humidity - this morning just felt fresh (compared to the last 5 days or so) so I was somewhat bemused to see posts of "oooh the humidity, we're dieing" lol :nonono:

But it really has picked up through the day - feels very warm and clammy, got desk fan on full, windows open praying for a draft (of which there is none!!)

Note from the MetO warning zones that Kesurex is missed off along with London. They appear to have taken the CAPE chart and filled in which counties lay under it...they often do this, and often is the case in these setups that London and Kesurex do get storms, particularly those which organise into distinct lines and at times squalls! I note from Nick's post that this sort of thing could happen - will be interesting to see how tomorrow evolves (and today for some by the sound of things)

Was at the shop just now when the ground shook and I heard a rumbling noise, couldnt tell if it was thunder from inside but that sky looks very ominous.

Does feel very humid and sticky out to say it is only 16 degrees celcius.

If the ground shook and there was rumbling isn't that usally what u get when a earthquake happens?
