It was the warmest July night in my 27 years of records and joint-warmest of any month (with 10th August 1991) with a min temp of 18.3C.

It has remained overcast throughout but that band brought no measurable precipitation - just some very light rain which hardly wet the ground.

A very warm and sticky night here with light rain, the temperature held close to 18c for the most part, then fell to 14.7c just after 06:00GMT when the light wind switched from a southerly to a westerly. The morning has brightened with sunny spells.

A very humid 29.8c here dew point at 20c.... sizzle sizzle..... my sun thermo says 37c.... hot hot hot... 34c in melun near paris.... wish it would go with a big boom.....

Sheerness webcam (nearest to me) looks positively iberian.... lovely clear skies and blue sea.....

With my teracotta pottery and mediterranean plants in courtyard patio feels like back home in mallorca.... paella for dinner tonight....

Cloudy here with patchy light rain, so the temperature isn't exactly rocketing, although last night was very warm (haven't checked, but probably the warmest since July 2006). Currently around 21 deg C aftrer an overnight low of 18.6.
