A wet day so far although the rain has just stopped in the past few minutes. We have recorded nearly an inch in the past 24 hours, it seems to have stuck close to our region, never particularly heavy just very persistant. All good news for the rivers and reservoirs.. ironic we have hosepipe bans, we don't need the hosepipe under such conditions any way..

Very muggy indeed nearly 100% humidity not very pleasant and poor temps for July just 18 degrees.

Signs of some brighter weather in the next couple of hours but it doesn't look like lasting as more rain moves in from the Irish Sea. July 2010 so far has been much wetter than normal up here.. 3 inches so far.

Chucking it down here (in between the drizzle). Currently 17.9C and raining hard. Now up to 8.6mm for the day.

I gnash my teeth in envy.

Another very warm day today. Most of the morning was sunny but, mercifully, a sheet of stcu spread in from the west by about 1130 and lasted for much of the afternoon. Despite the cloud it was mightily warm cycling around the Peak District and since getting home I've consumed about 2 litres of Earl Grey.

I digress.

Temp' was 21.9c at 1800 g.m.t after a min' of 14.6c and a max' today of 23.8c

The grass min' was 12.6c

Rainfall from 0800-1800 g.m.t, nil

Sunshine today so far, 5.48 hrs

Partly cloudy with a temperature of 19.5C and 81% humidity.

Today's maximum of 28.7C replaced yesterday as the warmest day since August 2006. A notably high max too, just 1.5C short of the highest in my 28 years of records (30.2C set in 1996).

Temp: 15c

Wind: 5mph

Weather: Heavy Rain

I was over there the other day installing tills in two "Winehouse" shops...and it was raining then. Dunoon is legendary for rain. I hope you have a good holiday weathermaster!

Hot, hot , sunny and hot here in the sunshine state. The Weather Channel gave yesterday's high as 95F (35c in new money), and the "feels like" peaked at 100F today. Still awaiting a storm though, but TWC predicts isolated/scattered storms all next week.
