I just heard a slight rumble of thunder , quite distance, not too sure where it came from though. i assume either to my west or South west.

Heavy rain just started in past 10 minutes and now a flash of lightning and a rumble of thunder!!

I'm here in Cleeve pat Lol. Sarah heard a faint rumble and she said the rain was really bad.It was quite heavy here:( but sadly no thunder

maybe next time ...you didnt miss much......very strong winds and torrentail rain...thunder wasnt up to much :crazy:

Yes !!

Thought it had stopped but it seems to be pepping up again. Its been constant now for almost 50 mins. Best lightning display we've had for ages.

Thats the problem with the NW radar, the bright colours make the PPN looks more heavier than it is, i have to admit though, the rain has certainly intensified although its only at the moderate atm.

We shall see what happens, whether showers/storms die out or not or they continue to rumble on during the night.

What direction Alza? I never heard/seen anything.

It was to the west, intracloud. If you look that way there are quite a few faint flickers. The pinks and whites often indicate the thundery stuff.

Apparently there was thunder here in Telford earlier though i missed it being indoors with no windows, got a good few out my window now though should anything else happen this evening.

Looking to my Northeast - black clouds still flickering with lightning & rumbling with thunder

Looking to my Southwest - nice blue skies

That was the best storm in years!

edit: that blue sky is rapidly filling in! lol

The first band is definitely building eastwards, hence the sporadic thunder which is occurring away from the main storm (just one rumble here, but lots of distant flickers to the west). Also, the second band is holding up nicely :crazy:
