A touch of ground frost this morning here in Ipswich, a cold start. It has already warmed up though and it is generally overcast (no rain/drizzle) and very still. There is no or little breeze and it is slightly misty

A bright start to Bank Holiday Monday here in south Wales. A good deal of cloud, but it's thinning and breaking allowing some decent sunny spells through.

I've spent the day in Bristol...

Leaving Wales and going across the Severn Bridge at around mid-day, so the clouds began to thin and break, and out came the sunshine. Has been a gorgeous day in Bristol, and warm too.

Funnily enough, coming back over the border into Wales, so the clouds gathered once more, with one or two light showers popping up on the journey home.

Amazing what a difference the Severn Bridge can make!

Sunny and dry all day without a cloud in the sky. Hardly any wind and mild, warm in the sun. I could get used to this! Has been like this for about 10 days with one partly cloudy day inbetween.

Temp rose to a warm 17c.

Clouded over, mammatus as said earlier.

Then at about 1730 a brief shower of huge raindrops passed over.

Max been up to 18.3C, joint max with last previous same temp on 3rd October 2003. Now down to 15.9C with mostly cloudy skies after a glorious morning starting without a cloud in the sky and no wind. Perfect for golf, shame about what happened!
