The general low level cloud is clearing here, only to reveal this lurking above. The photo doesn't do this clouds height justice

What photo?

No storms or showers coming this way, but for once I am glad to say it, as it's giving the sun a chance to shine here which makes a big change.

Not looking all that interesting at the moment. Nothing very heavy. Not much thundery activity and showers seem to be starting their dive SW here.

A lovely, long rumble from a fast-approaching cell to the Northeast of here. Wind picking up.

I can't believe that something interesting has finally come this way!

Those are some gorgeous cauliflower tops and little pilius on there too, I can almost feel the warmth of the sun and the humidity in the air from that pic. Awesome

Edit:Bit late but I can confirm T+L on the cell that went thru Glos. Had quite a few rumbles and a couple of flashes, including one very close one up here on the hills

looks like a possible trough is moving roughly east to west through the east midlands currently, certainly showers organizing themselves into a line......will they produce or not?, the 64 million dollar question...

I can see plenty CBs headed this way, were not done for the day. If you drive you should go find somewhere to watch!

Alas no storm for us yet, 3 rumbles and no visible lightning from a cell to our west and just had a short torrential downpour, must say i can't remember the last time it hammered it down like that, netted 5mm of rain in as many minutes.

The downpour at Villa Park has to be seen to be believed according to Final Score on BBC.

Villa winning by the way!
