Very heavy overnight river Kent swollen again... Woke up to very dark skies felt very autumnal and we had a thundery outbreak mid morning. Intermittent spells of moderate rain on and off throughout the day and no sunshine making for a very gloomy feel. Also quite windy at times. Despite a very humid feel it felt like we had plunged into the depths of autumn. As I said in a post a few days back, the first proper dark wet windy day of the season is when I have to admit summer is dissapearing - its a shame its come early this year but have to say today was that day.
