Just started to rain out here and it seems heavy also going by radar there's still a lot more to come and looks heavier also. Looking at the 12z NAE we should get around 44-55mm tonight/tomorrow.

No rain yet in beds but the marsh frogs in my garden are making a hell of a din, always a sure sign of rain.

Can certainly tell something is on its way.

Its very still and humid outside now AND i have one of those headaches i get when a storms coming ( normally thunder ) but i suppose in this case it isnt.

My Cat has gone all kinda strange this evening, wonder if he can sense something coming? :)

Hi, that'll probably be the raw / unmodified NAE you've seen (e.g., the fields shown via WeatherOnline).....

Modified version is not far off that; i.e., 30-ish mm for Bristol / Bath / S Glos over 3 hrs between around 2200BST and 0200BST but I expect worst will be passing NE of you by 0300-0400BST, then a much better start for Monday morning after daylight.

Cheers

Ian

Rain has reached the east coast. Now throwing it down which is a surprise as I didn't think we'd have anything until the early hours.

It seems to say a lot about the fire lack of thunderstorms that 175 people are viewing a thread about heavy rain!

Its the blind optimist in me that hopes something might develop...you think I would have learnt my lesson a long long time ago!!! :)pardon.gif

Welcome to the forum Wolfgang Drill.

Been raining here in W. Sussex for a while, fairly light though, with the odd moderate burst.

Camperstron: gimme the final cut any time!

Wivenswold I'm surprised it's 'throwing it down' so early in Essex. You've a long wet night ahead !
