Just had a rumble of thunder, rather quiet so may be distant as I didn't notice any lightning. Moderate rain now after a heavy burst before the thunder.

Yes, GFS shows some MLCAPE moving E across Sern England post cold front which is extending SW from the triple point roughly over W Sussex/E Hants atm. Wouldn't be surprised of the odd rumble around the Solent area - with some bright echoes there atm near the triple point.

One rumble heard here in w. Sussex albeit distant. Looks like i'm east of the main action though anything is gratefully received.

i like the storm forecast, and its dark now, so any single flashes would be seen! it does look like more chance then last time for the s/se as already been thunder and lightning in sw!

Some impressive Cb's around here on the NE coast shame the showers are over the North sea. I wouldn't be suprised to see moderate sized hail if they were overhead.

Isnt that the same one?

Nope. The first one was in Great Livermere, Suffolk on Monday, which is @ 7 miles east of me.

This one was further south in Essex on Thursday.

I thought that thin trough line looked interesting across the Midlands, giving a 10 minute downpour in most places as it travels south this afternoon.

That line stretching from Suffolk through south Midlands to Cardigan Bay is giving a very heavy squally shower here.

That indeed is a beauty over Norfolk!
