    The National Weather Service has confirmed that parts of New York City was hit by at least 2 tornadoes & 125 mph straight line winds on as a squall line of severe thunderstorms bulldozed their way through on thursday....Rather than re-typing all the info from this storm system, here's a couple of links, firstly the BBC news report, and secondly a more in-depth analysis from weather.com
