We know they're big. But let's get technical: If we could freeze frame a hurricane in the sky just for an instant, how many pounds of water is it carrying up there? Here's an approximate answer:

And it's the Eye of the Hurricane that made me think, surely with it's core raising the sea levels it actually has a negative downward force / negative net weight.

Only the outer clouds have the rain bearing volume we could quantify ?
