Warm and sunny again in Lancaster, feeling a bit muggy this time round.

If anything, it's warmer than yesterday (and hence similar to Saturday's temperature) and we could make 20C again. Not unprecedentedly warm for late April (Lanaster hit 24.2C in April 2003!) but still very impressive, and slightly above the July average.

After another gloriously sunny day (max of about 19C), I'm watching a growing area of convective altocomulus and cumulonimbus layers to my south and east, and noting a finger extending across the southern horizon, which I'm hoping will reach Lancaster before the convection and T-storms fizzle out!

Currently 17.2º after a high of 20.1º. Now, (and this is amazing, the sort of thing you'll tell your grandchildren about in years to come), this is the third consecutive day with the daytime maximum being precisely 20.1º. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it for myself.

Extremely humid and hazy, overcast now. Spots fell earlier. Some very dark clouds looming around.

    Temperature @ 16.7 deg C.

Weather warning out for south Wales for thunderstorms through the evening - potentially very interesting. 8)8)

Looks like Lancaster's set to miss out on the thunderstorms this time, unless another cluster of T-storms forms over central or north-eastern Wales, and spreads SSW-NNE.

That is still possible TWS, however they are looking more likley to form to the north of you and move down during tonight at the moment.

Sunny with a few altocumulus here right now, with thicker cloud out to the east and south east.

well things could be happening to the west and east of me at the moment, so there is still a chance for some in your area TWS

Temperatures are a stedy 17C and eveything has gone very quiet (you know what i mean 8) ) The calm before the storm :?:

Well I'm hoping it doesn't start to die down too soon, as that band of thunderstorms over Wales is headed on a direct collision course for the Lancaster area!
