After an initial moderate frost, becoming much less cold overnight with the temperature gradually climbing above freezing and a thaw setting in. Night low –2.3c. The 24 hour low was –9.6c. At observation, overcast, thaw, light sleet. mean snow depth, 4.5cm, 100%

A pretty non-descript day so far. Overcast with a little light sleet and snow this morning which rapidly turned to rain. The min temp overnight was 0.7C so the first day in quite a while not record an air frost.

Still pretty cold today with a max of 2.5C, but theres a steady thaw going on. 1.4mm in the rain gauge so far and the 7.0cm cover this morning at 9am looks substantially less now.

Currently 2.3C and 90% humidity.

A dark gloomy day with light rain on and off giving a slow thaw, hovered just above 2c for most of the day though its fell back to 0.6c now and turning rather icy!
