hi yamkin and jaycee

sorry should have made my other post

a little clearer

the reason i am following the fax charts is to

check the trends are there and at the moment everything

shows further west on the fax charts which is good

tonight should give a very good clue to the upcoming cold spell

http://91.121.84.31/modeles/nogaps/run/nogaps-1-144.png?06-11

probably a little progreesive but should look similar on

the fax chart tonight for the 13th

http://www.weathercharts.org/wetterzentraleGFSforecast.htm

run through these and you probably would be hard pushed

to find a colder set of charts for february

http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=charts;type=ens;sess=

control run and gfs agree in fi

more runs needed but :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

You're right Yamkin, apologies John I misread what you were saying, You are correct in what you said.

Tentative signs of a bit more excitemnt and activity in the main model thread this weekend.

I am gonna try and hold of any ramping until next weekend but to see the Meto update today use the term chance of significant snowfall is certainly nice.

Let's hope winter ends with a bang, this from the main model thread would be nice http://www.cubworld....a_cubworld_cam/

Funny you post that cam, I was on that all tuesday night/wed morning during their Blizzard

That webcam is one of the best clear camera images I have ever seen and it's 1000's of miles away :D

The Countryfile weatherman mentioned a question as to whether the cold weather might make an appearance again but said he'd talk more about it next week!

I'd love to see another snowy spell before the spring

i think it is best to wait for monday to see if anything agrees

the fax chart and the met office chart have high pressure to

our south east whereas the rest have low pressure

this will make the outlook different on all of these

i still think the models are overcooking the atlantic

just to cheer everyone up http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3362.png

and this http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3721.png

i bet this all changes again monday :wallbash:

Good summary JP. I think the change to much colder conditions in the models will be shown this week

Scotland having some snow today, any for us seems just out of reach atm. Cold air either side of the UK, Look Mr Weather, we have had our mildish mush for a few days. Get your backside into gear its our turn !!

The Model discussion thread is like walking in on a school classroom row. I feel uncomfortable just reading it, so I thought I would walk out and shut the door. Some deliberately rude arrogant point scoring people in there. Mods pls dont delete, it has to be said.

Anyways, onwards and upwards. I feel the next two days models will flip and flop but another cold spell will appear finally

I just wish this incessant blustery wind would ease off for a while. 5 days of it now which is nice when Im staying with friends on the South Coast, but unfortunately Im back in the NW London suburbs.

The different models keep changing their minds, one minute GFS + ECM have cold but not UKMO, then it's UKMO + ECM but not GFS and then it's UKMO + GFS but not ECM.

Still the fact that all 3 have toyed with the idea over the last few days is a good sign, not quite ready to dig those sledges out yet though.

And on that total RAMP by Yamkin, I am going to start a new thread - although I might not quite remember how to do so, it's been that long since some interesting weather charts have come up!

Fingers crossed February delivers some memorable snow chances for our neck of the woods - surely, after all these grey cloudy days in January, our lamp posts need to feel wanted again.....
