Very dark in the City. I think it's just rain though. Does anyone know what the weather is in Bromley?

Heavyish rain with a little wet snow mix

Great Plum, Only an Advisory was sent out warning of possible heavy snow. Had to laugh at this as even I could not see this happening apart from North London upwards. I see MetO have taken off the Advisory for the SE which does not surprise me.

Sounds like the same one we had...

Currently cold and miserable here... But not cold enough for snow! :(

As for the weather and the models... My take on it is that it will rain pretty much until the weekend when it will be briefly cooler with some frosts... After that it will be wet and mild but for how long? My hunch, and it's not more than that, is that it will then get cooler with us looking to our east for inspiration!

Sleet here, large amount of snow in the sky

Silly question why is there snow in the sky, you can see it, why is most of it coming down as a sleety rain mix?

ehem, my theory is.....

Snowflakes are like meteors, they burn up in the atmosphere.....:whistling:

sorry, couldn't resist. I really don't have a proper explanation.

When you look to the sky you will notice the heavier flakes of snow rather than the rain at first. As there is rain mixed with snow, we are seeing sleet.

Real actual snow here in Brentwood, far too wet for it to settle, though.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
