Yet again arrived as nothing more than light-moderate rain, looks like the storm shield has held strong again, off to bed.

The problem with IOW this time is their script that runs the lightning detector has been deemed as abusive by UK2, their website provider.

Thus they keep taking it offline and replacing it with a message saying that it's overloading the server on which the site is hosted, thus where the problem lies.

I bet they do not know about this Slingfox. I will try and tell them, after all it was like blindness being without it, for me it was anyway :)

Still strikes over Normandy maybe more to come through the early hours?

Same here conor....there's a hell of a shield in place for North East Wales and Shropshire...guaranteed humdrum weather. Not missing any sleep over another non-event. Turrning in as well.

Any idea on the prospects for Surrey, or Egham to be precise over the next hour or two? Debating whether to stay up or not?

May be worth keeping an eye on what's to the south of you, I'm noticing some development over the last 20 mins, waiting game I'm afraid!

Dont think it was over hyped at all really! It was quite a moderate storm that passed through here and many places especially in the south have all seen Storms as expected.

Tomorrow and tomorrow night delivers even more goods. :D

A New Thunderstorm seems to have developed Gloucs/Worcester border area (Behind the main band of rain) and seems to be following the eact same tracking and location as earlier. May reach here. :D

Hi guys.

ML CAPE will start to rise now, and during the early hours, expect showers/storms to break out off the South Coast and as they track NNE during the early hours they will become more organized and hefty. A majority of the electrical activity will be elevated, as the morning goes on and we get more surface based CAPE and rising temperatures with higher dew points we may see some highly electrical stuff, with some very big storms. West Midlands through the central belt looks best.

Will do. The rain has certainly arrived here and the smell of rain after a warm day is wafting up through the window. No thunder or lightning yet though.

I can report that I've just seen more lightning, appears to be to the West of my location.

No rain or thunder though so must be a reasonable distance away.
