    Hi all

    I have created this thread for posting pictures of lightning from the 6th of may 2011 onwards

    so if you have any shots you would like to display feel free to post them here.

    Excellent pics. I'd love to take lightning photo's as good as that.I'm still in the process of learning . Well done.:)

    I was about to leap on you and say WTF, I live in Dorset, and I ain't seen that this year, until I saw the date.

    THEN

    I realised I was in the USA chasing non existent storms!

    Nice, sorry I missed it really, don't get many good ones these days, down here.

    Thanks to all for the comments above, since that night we have had nothing here in Dorset

    but its more the some have had so i shouldn't complain.

    we still have time for something to pop up,

    one of the best storms I've ever seen was towards the end of September 2000

    off the Blackpool coast.

    so to all the people that haven't had a thunderstorm yet, Don't give up hope

    • Wet March so far with more rain for the rest of the month, but hints of more settled weather early April

      It's been a wet March for much of the UK, with well above average rainfall, though the Northern & Western Isles have been drier than average.
