I noticed how dry the soil is yesterday, we have been sorting out a small flowerbed in our garden that was overgrown and had a couple plants that got hit by the last 2 winters, and down to nearly a foot down (as far as we got) digging up a plant it's dry earth with little sign of any moisture.

Not much sign of the rain from a thunderstorm on the 6th and rain the next evening giving just under 25mm in total. It probably helped though things are mainly green around here, if dry. I noticed some yellow/brown in the verges on the way into Exeter.

Yesterday was a nice day with sunny spells after a chilly misty start and today has turned cloudy now after a sunny start. 13.9C after a min of 4.6C.

After a nice calm and sunny start, today seems to be deteriorating quite rapidly. It's turned much cloudier and the wind has picked up, which have taken the edge off the temperatures.

Started off the day with a sheet of Sc at about 5000ft. It was quite interesting because this started to clear from the west around 0830 and the edge was quite a neat sharp curve. Behind this was blue sky except for a line of quite large Cu. I assume this was to do with the passage of the occlusion. Now have some Cu with a patch of Ac.
