This is the 2nd of 2 very wet days of june, been to the west coast of wales today though and it was much better weather meaning dry,but stronger winds and cool with drifting sand on the beach which was very surprising considering the roads and paths were wet.

3 inches so far this month so a dire summer month so far.

Rain on and off all morning, a couple of hours sun in the afternoon but it's turned overcast and drizzly again since 7pm. Humid and muggy but not hot- should I batten down the hatches for another heatwave only affecting the SE?

A warm and humid day after the rain cleared in the early hours. Maximum temperature today was 23.5C, currently 17.7C and breezy. Expecting the temperature tomorrow to exceed the highest so far this year, 27.8C, and I'm quite confident Monday will push 30C here.

Overall a pretty naff day with a lot of cloud 90% of the time. Some brief sunny spells mid-afternoon made for a temporary summery feel but otherwise just cloudy, breezy and humid at times after overnight rain.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
