When I was a lad them Spanish plumes would be crashing and banging from midday too late evening. They don't happen like they used to lad.

Some light rain heading this way now cloudy still warm though.

Would be funny if the storms ended up in the NE and SW and nowhere else.

Looks like your storm sheild has spread out over most of england boy!

Must admit, I'm getting a little excited at tonight's prospects. Almost struggling to control myself here

Heading out into the Cambridgeshire Countryside at 5pm......somewhere high-up with clear views to my south & west. Camera & camcorder charged, car fueled up, cigs & ribena in my rucksack :good::yahoo:

As of 1400, Gravesend at 31.8C!

I remember reading posts last week rubbishing temperatures higher than 27-28C in the far SE....something to do with it being such a cool May and June that these temperatures weren't possible..........ooops!

Wow...sudden headache kicking in! Sudden pressure around the right hand side of my cranium....

Always a good precursor on days like this :D

The weather radar seems to indicate that they are at the moment

Light showers are now showing on the radar around the wash. Am keeping an eye on this just in case it is radar error.

I can see those thunderstorms to my West now through the haze - they look very impressive indeed! They are growing explosively by the looks of it yahoo.gif

Sat24 appears to show a possible Cu field towards N of London...not completely sure whether this is indeed a Cu field or higher level clouds.

Cirrus clearing here in Bexleyheath, almost back to clear blue skies :good:

I have some darkish clouds out to my west, seemed to appear just like that.

People over Hampshire must be gutted, early rain must be ruining daily heating, some cloud here from time to time but no rain yet and still in the mid twenties.
