Just had a short sharp shower here in Brentwood.. Strangely rain today shows a SW flow but the rain fell heavily from a NE direction :cc_confused:

mentioned this to coast a few hours ago when high level clouds were moving NE along with fast moving low level clouds moving in SW direction, looked spooky so i phone agent mulder :whistling:

Looks like something developing to the west of here, sky is darkening out towards that way.

Certainly been quite a few rumbles and seem fairly close, but it does not seem that dark. Just cloudy.

Draw a line North of Cambridge up into Kings Lynn. That's where these cells are heading, just developing North of London right now on the NW radar (a valuable tool for anyone I have to stress.)

Looked at a Skew T chart for my area for today and we have a really strong cap above potential. Nothing is going to break the cap to get there thats for sure!

Yes seems the action is further W than some thought. Definitively anywhere between a line from London to the Wash is in store for some action.

Funny old game this storm forecasting is. Today its been overcast and cool with temps of 15C and yet storms are kicking off. Yesterday it was 30C at 12pm!
