There was a hot spell just after mid-month of the July of 1901, where maxima got to 90F+ in places.

Here are some reports from this month.

Lewes: Max temps above 80F on 14 days

St Albans: Max temps above 80F on 10 days

Oxford: Max above 90F on 2 days

Wisbech: Max above 82F from 16th to 21st

Wellington: Max of 88F on 19th

Cheltenham: 89.3F on the 18th

Manchester: 91.0F on 18th and 19th

Llandudno: 89.5F on 20th

Aberystwyth: 93.0F on 20th

Ross-on-Wye: Max above 80F on 8 days

Hartley Whitney: 91F on 18th, 90F on 19th and 90F on 20th

Launceston: 84.7F on 18th, 85.2F on 19th and 83.9F on 20th

Cargen: 89.0F on 20th

Dundee: 82.7F on 18th

Dublin: Max above 70F on 16 days

Omagh: A minimum of 64F on the 17th
