A bright and sunny start after a dry and clear night. At observation, sunny spells, feeling warm. The morning until mid afternoon continued fine and very warm with sunny spells before overcast conditions spread in to the area producing a few spots of light rain.

Nowhere near as bad as I was expecting from past forecasts. Wet period of light rain early morning ended about 10.00 a.m. with mild periods of dry, eventually followed by broken cloud with some sun. We've had more sun today here than last Saturday already!

Very clear air with fine views and cloudscapes again. Not an untypical low pressure summer day really.

Where in Somerset are you Jon? Because here just a few miles from the Wiltshire/Somerset border it poured down from 09.30-12.00 and there

have been a few brief downpours already this afternoon. Around 3/4 of an inch of rain in my gauge.

After the clearance of the early morning rain, it's been a very pleasant day, nowhere near as bad as forecast...Mainly sunny skies with fair weather Cumulus, and warm in shelter from the gusty W/NW breeze....All in all, not too bad at all!

After a couple of hours of moderate rain this morning, it has drier up and this afternoon has been a mix of sunny intervals and cloud, with no showers at all. Temp around 16c.

From looking at yesterdays forecast you would have thought today was going to be awful! After cold wet start it has brightened up since early afternoon, currently long sunny intervals and feeling rather pleasant! Current temp 19.9c
