Are pulse storms ones that just spring up from nowhere?

Imagine them going along like jellyfish, pulsating - increasing in intensity, decreasing in intensity, like a yo-yo.

Steam rising here now, and a potent cell has shot up to my north.

I think you wanting it so much is stopping it happening. Try some reverse psychology!

In the last 5 minutes I have had 3 IC and one CG strike, pouring down and very noisy thunder. I suspect this may be just the beginning!

Line of thunderstorms developing over Northumberland now, if it builds westwards Newcastle could get another deluge this evening.

About this time yesterday there was very dark cloud to the east of me. This time today it's directly to the south of me. No lightning seen though..........YET! I'm looking at the skies though.

Just heard a distant boom of thunder...presumably from the north of me.

Well the north of me is pretty dark but going behind a hill....Essex and further north must be having fun :D

Nothing but rain here,No lightning no thunder same old story,Storms in the west are as common as snow in the desert,One day our turn will come and when it does it will be the biggest storm ever.

I like the look of whats just south of Newcastle and looking at its track it could hit here. Wishful thinking but its worth a try

You lot in the SE have absolutley nothing on the storm we just had in the West Midlands!.....Booming thunder, flickering lightning, 20 cm hail, funnel cloud & some rain!....Well, actually, a slight exaggeration, there was actually no thunder, no lightning, no hail, no funnel cloud, but there was definitely a few drops of rain :crazy:

I just felt lonely and felt the need to be part of the 'Storm Club' .......:80::lol:

Some amazing Cunims around. Lots of great anvils to the south, north and North East of me. Had some lovely sunshine over me now though so had a go at a bit of weeding while the soil is soft; felt quite tropical in the sunshine.
