Almost complete opposite of yesterday. As noted by others we got the long periods of clouds and showers and zero sun until about 4.30 when cluds broke and sun finally appeared. Temperatures rose a degree or so to 16C on drive home inland and a pleasant evening with enough sun to keep air on cusp of comfortable allowed relatively comfortable sitting-out-in-garden weather (with jumper after 7.00 pm mind).

Currently a fine sunset - and yes it is red so fingers crossed! :db:

Dry with sunny intervals for most of the day...thought we might just get away with our first dry day since last Friday, but the heavens opened early evening and we've had some heavy showers. Maximum 20.2, minimum 9.4. Wind light NW.

A very cold start this morning and only 1.7C off the record July low minima in 30 years of records. It turned cloudy around 9am and remained that way through most of the day with only occasional sunny spells. Mostly clear in the evening which after sunset has allowed the temperature to fall rapidly.

We're already over a degree colder than at the same point last night, so if it can manage to remain clear the record could well be under threat.

Current Temp: 11.0°C

Max Temp: 17.3°C

Min Temp: 8.6°C

Humidity: 77%

Min Humidity: 61%

Pressure: 1014.9hPa (Steady)

Dewpoint: 7.1°C

Ave Wind: N (7mph)

Rain Today: None

It was another tedious cool, sunshine and showers day until that deluge at about 3.45pm. How we can get mid-afternoon rain like that in high summer, without thunder is beyond me. The deluge lasted about an hour, but it was still raining/spitting till about 8. And it went even cooler as well.
