Yesterday was a fantastic day with warm temps, good strong sunny intervals in clear air, a variety of different cloud types and a nice breeze. Max 24.4C.

Last night turned wet with some heavy rain yesterday evening starting at 10pm (1 or 2 brief torrential bursts) and the rain continued after midnight with more rain later in the night and early morning, total: 26.8mm. A mild night too with a low of 16.9C - the highest since 21st August 2010.

I noticed this morning some quite high dew points across the south with many places reporting a temp/dew of 18/18c.

Yes my dew point is very high today - it was 19.5c earlier (now 18.6c).

Temperature maxed at 21.7c when skies (briefly) brightened.

Another shower just come through although not enough to tip the gauge.

Currently 20.0C here with a dewpoint of 18.7C. Far cooler than the last three days but feels really sticky and very unpleasant.

Moderate rain overnight and into the morning, radar returns suggesting around 5-8mm of rain. It dried up late morning, before brightening up for a time around lunchtime with some decent sunny spells however the rest of the day saw more cloud and only occasional sunny spells. Very muggy with min temps of 16c and max of only 18c.

Rain a.m. sometimes heavy (causing at least two crashes locally on wet roads), followed by haevu clouds with some breaks but little sun, ofetn threatening rain but not where I was. Temperature only about two degrees under yesterday at 19C so despite heat wave in east it doesn't feel much cooler here.

Quickly turned into a nice day here, with unbroken sunshine during the evening. I can tell the so-called heatwave has ended given how the weather has improved here over the past couple of days...
