Its the warmest day of the year on parts of the east coast with 24c in some East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire coastal towns. Bridlington has avoided the unwanted statistic of not recording 24c all summer for the first time in over 23 years.

Cleadon managed this in 2007- an especially remarkable statistic considering that it was the joint-warmest year here since I began recording (alongside 2006). This year won't be adding to the list as it made 27C on the 26th June.

The showers have largely fizzled and it's continuing dry with sunny intervals, 20.1C last time I checked, but the earlier max of 21.2C is unlikely to be beaten.

at 6 00 pm local time in Paris

Temp is 32.9C with a humidex of 36.5 ( it was forecasted 33C) that makes it the second hottest day of the year after the impressive 36.8c recorded on the 27th june

Apart for a brief shower which left 0.2 mm round 2 00 PM nothing exept heat and blue skies
