    A wander out along the coast into Kent this morning to look at some of the windswept scenery around Dungeness, Denge and Lydd.

    lovely photo's Robin, that boardwalk one would make a marvellous picture - it reminds me of a Gill Copeland print called 'follow your heart' !!

    Know it well, old stomping ground. Has an unusual atmosphere for the SE of England, big wide open skies and unique barreness of the flat shingle expanse, almost like a desert in this green land, giving it a quality of light there - that is hard to describe unless you visit it.

    great photos and i know where i want my next photography trip! i like the atmosphere the photos give and the old stuff just sitting there waiting for a photo! Would also make great bnw or sepia. although you can convert a copy to that effect after.

    I have got a few Gill Copeland's at home and she does take photo's around this area. I think the one you are referring to was taken down the road at Camber.

    I might try playing with a few of these at home and doing some black and white versions to 'moody' them up a bit!

    I'd have liked to have got into the area where the sound mirrors are, but it has been surrounded by water now and you can only get across on organised tours:

    • Wet March so far with more rain for the rest of the month, but hints of more settled weather early April

      It's been a wet March for much of the UK, with well above average rainfall, though the Northern & Western Isles have been drier than average.
