Local weather going for 13c on Christmas Day so i'd say the maximum could be 14c, possibly 15c in some sheltered eastern spots.

15 c in Aberdeen, that is warmer than most summer days up there, what a funny climate we have, the GFS is predicting 10c for my location but we all know it under estimates temps, hopefully i can enjoy christmas with my family and try not to look out of the window too much, seeing this benign mediocre weather. what a difference compared to last year.

Not looking remotely like a white Christmas anywhere tomorrow, that will upset the LRF's of some, but not the Bookies!!!

Unfortunately it's a green one for everyone! But Merry Christmas all the same and I hope you all have a brilliant day! :)

Well the great day is here and the signs are not encouraging

If anything, the most noticeable thing is how mild it is!

But as this Christmas and you can have a little bit of fantasy, take a look at +384 hours......

Highest temperature reached yesterday was 15.1C at Dyce, just outside Aberdeen (possibly contributed to by the Fohn effect?), according to Met Office. Only 0.5C off the Christmas Day record high for the UK. About as far away as you can get from a White Christmas!

Just before midnight on Christmas Eve Cairngorm was reporting -2C and Aonach Mor -0.4C with precipitation. Perhaps just a white Christmas on the higher tops?

By dawn temps at both were way up though and there has been a massive thaw in some of the mountain areas since. Going below freezing again tonight at least temporarily though.
