I'll post my first ever post on here, with a Tasmania weather report:

    2.30pm Overcast in Hobart

17C...2C above the September average. Calm.

It always reminds me of typical Saturday weather, and funnily enough it is Saturday.

A far better morning here than I expected after the forecast last night. Two or three oktas of cloud, bits of Ac and Sc with a temp of 16C and SW wind of 11mph.. It would appear the front is still west of Ireland at midnight so expect the rain midday to early afternoon.

Damp and breezy morning, 14.9c with low cloud light rain/drizzle and a fresh southerly wind.

It was dark this morning, reminding me how the lack of motivation to get out of bed on the dark mornings feels like. All down hill now!! :(

Woke up to the sound of rain lashing against the window and the wind howling. Autumns on its way! Eased off now, temp 14.5c.

Similiar to here. We have had light rain throughout the morning but in the past hour it has turned heavier. Lots of low cloud down to about 100m. Not great weather for early September. Expecting only a very slow improvement through the evening.

Good to see a fellow Cumbrian on the forum, there aren't many of us... Look forward to reading your posts throughout the coming months especially in the winter in northerly/north easterly/easterly set ups - tracking how far south and east the snow showers/fronts have penetrated and more generally how far the snowline is. Incidentally where exactly are you located, Dockray area?

Well a very wet afternoon here working in Keswick, persistant light rain has turned much heavier over the last half hour.

Cloud bases very low with even the nearby fells obscured.

    miserable!!

Looking more interesting early next week with the possibility of gales/severe gales, the first big blow of the autumn.
