[Isolated Frost]

Would you believe it? Light snow forecasted for Ben Nevis after midnight tonight (as cooler uppers arrive) by mountain-forecast.com (which is usually very reliable), with sub-zero temperatures tomorrow morning, an ice day on wednesday and another frost on Thursday morning (infact that one is quite widespread with some ground frost, and temperatures falling sub 5C in many areas low-lying).

Katia has left us with a nice polar incursion - should be some nippy, cooler days before HP ridges in on Thursday, Friday.

After that it looks like a small LP system will move in on the weekend, but with remaining cool uppers. The uppers on Wednesday morning are even at -2C in NW Scotland - hoping for some convection and therefore wintriness at the tops then.

Filmed this today a few seconds after a whole garage roof tore off and hit a school child, I didn't even know he was under there until I got there! I hope he's okay but his leg was definitely broken!

Quite a nice day here despite early front passing over; much more sun than recently since late morning. Highest winds on the coast but much milder inland leading to a pleasant blustery day. September already seems sunnier than August in these parts.
