I can see those hungry black storm clouds just knocking on the door to the east of where I live, but to the west it's almost perfect blue skies - I think it'll stay sunny for the rest of the evening now. Shame i'd like a thunderstorm to round the day off

Its been static all day, don't think it can get over the pennines, shame really but where I am must be some undergoing some sort of thunder drought.

Yes, the 5pm radar http://www.ribble-valley-weather.info/index.html still shows it to the east of the pennines, but who knows they seem to be clustering together and maybe they could shift west all of a sudden. I hope so Jet black to the east when I look out of my window, but still clear as crystal to the west.

so do I, I'm next to the pennines in the Colne Valley but clouds look a little distant but I hope you're right with the colour of the clouds, even if they came close it would make my day!
