Bah, now I know how Scotland and Ireland have been feeling these past few days. It's like 23rd April all over again with the ridiculous contrast in temperatures either side of the cold front. I know it had to end some time, but I was really expecting Sunday to put up more of a fight here. A wasted day.

At least it will be interesting to see if somewhere in the SE hits 30C.

After a cloudy day so far with the temperature around 19c we now have one or two light showers of large raindrops.

It's a sign of things to come.

All the weather sites seemed to suggest it was 28c here at 3pm. 27c now. I'm not so sure it is true or not as today feels much more comfortable than it did yesterday.

Definitely, it happened in September 1895, October 1908 and October 1921. Just to name examples from a similiar period in the calendar.

There were 6 consecutive date minima records broken just last December

What is the longest stretch daily max and min records?

After an overcast day with variable cloud and wind with some persistent rain between midday to 5pm, as sunset approaches some clear spells break through now with a slight breeze from the SW/WSW. Currently 15.1c with big orange puffy clouds and clear breaks.

Always on the boundary of the cloud, it brightened up very nicely around lunchtime and for a part of the afternoon .However cloudier now, possibly signalling the end of this amazing spell. Max temp 22 in Mumbles, as always a degree or 2 warmer here.

Another scorcher - dry and hot with sunshine all day. A light breeze took the edge off the temperature, making it slightly cooler than yesterday, but it was still a pleasant walk home acrosss town (in shorts) around 8.30pm. Currently clear, 17.4 deg C, wind light SW. Today's maximum 26.8, last night's minimum 10.6.

After all the glorious sunshine lately today was very cloudy, tried to brighten up and turn sunnier around 12pm but never quite made it.

Still a very very warm day for October though with a high of 22.5c, a warm and cloudy evening to, currently 18.7c

very nice sunny day again with a max of 23.6C according to the station. A cooler min of 7.6C here on the valley floor this morning.

Fog patches around this evening have turned very thick now, no sign of any light from street lights on the main road about 200 meters away, I can't remember seeing it like that before.
