Today is another 'D' day ...

... Dull, Damp, Drizzly, Dank, Dismal, Dark, Dreary, Drab.

Although to be fair the cloud is more formed than yesterday and there is even the hint of a break or 2 being possible as the wind has shifted more to the SE instead of the E and a possible fohn efect happens off of Salisbury Plain.

12.8c at the moment.

Nightmare weather--all that`s bad about the UK climate.

I am a cold lover but would take Atlantic rain and brief ridges over this Dull Dredge.

It really cheers me up to see other parts of the country enjoying 'our' lovely North Sea type of weather.

I think botty and I will start a fan club - how about NSMAS?

Not sure what it means?

North Sea Murk Appreciation Society.

Come join us and watch your heating costs soar.

Well we have the Cornish murk down here. Low Sc layer and almost day darkness. Temp is 12C but doesn't feel it.

Hey the Sc sheet retreated just after sunset but it was a false dawn, so to speak. Returned after about 10 minutes. Typical Sc. Looked like 8/8 Cs above.

LOL I thought of a few of those just after posting!

Spoke to a guy while I was working this afternoon, he was gardening and said he loved this kind of weather - very serious he was too!

Quite thick drizzle at the moment, the wettest part of the day.

The weather today:

What, there's been a DAY? I've seen it lighter half an hour after sunset than it was at noon todusk.

Between 9 and 11C with some kind of cloud (could never quite see the sky to tell which) for the last 24 hours. Looks like the same all over the UK. The most boring, depressing 24 hours of weather over the country as a whole since??????

Apart from NW Scotland where the highlands blocked the cloud from rolling over leaving wall to wall sunshine going by the satalite images earlier but it is one of those (funny) days where 90% of the UK is under the same weather type which kinda made yesterday's weather less depressing in that respect.
