The temperature at 6-7000ft where I was skiing a week ago is currently quoted at -17C with 8mph wind. Anyone skiing in that unless totally covered will get frost bite fairly quickly. Days for train riding and dashing into the nearest alpine coffee stop!

And its snowed again. I've been to this village for the last 25 consecutive years and snow depths are way ahead of anything I have ever known. 36 inches at times in the village, Murren across the valley 72 inches. I walked there one day and just could not stop taking vidoes of the amazing depths-folk appearing out of what seemed a narrow corridor 6-8 feet high, their front door. If I can get stills of reasonable quality of them I will try and post some-light was dreadful with fog and snow much of the time.

This may or may not help, when trying to upload a file, click choose files to upload, click on the file and it should say whteher or not you can upload the file. What format is the video clip saved in?

mpv I think? but large files 20-30mb so too big to upload on here.

I'll have to pick still shots off them and upload some.

thanks Julian

You could upload to Youtube, like the one of Doncaster snow last winter,

yes I'll have a look at this when I get a bit of time; not even done any editing on any of them yet.

I'm off to la Plagne this saturday, hoping the weather turns a little colder and we get some fresh snow.. I don't mind slush however.. as long as it doesn't rain while I'm there I'll be happy! Looking like there's a dump mid week, forecast to be snow at the moment so will be keeping my fingers crossed.

We had amazing conditions in Val D'Isere mid jan this year.. a huge 75cm dump on the thursday night left us with un pisted powder on most runs.. probably the best conditions I've ever boarded in :-)

Latest Ski Blog is now out

http://forum.netweat...ast-16th-march/

After recent milder weather, some moderate snow is possible over the Alps next week.

For La Plagne, Snow forecast suggests 10-15cm of snow Sunday into Monday, from mid slopes upwards, more of a sleety mix at resort level, however looking at the precipitation charts, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a lot more than that.

A bit milder and sunnier before the weekend, so don't forget the sun screen.

As promised here is the latest Skiing Blog

After a mostly dry, mild and sunny start, turning a far bit more unsettled before Easer, with the chance of decent snowfall.
