A nice misty mellow start, with the odd shower, clouds dispersing by lunchtime bringing lengthy sunny spells under virtually no wind - so a very mild day for mid November, it felt like a September day - no need for coat/jacket and that was on the fells near Borrowdale. Can't complain but it doesn't seem right with the sun setting at 4pm.

Next week does look more seasonal with some cooler nights and temps closer to the average max for the time of year - but still milder rather than colder. Where have the autumn gales dissapeared too this year? The trees continue to hold many leaves still - mind we have had similiar Novembers in the past such as 2005 when there were so few gales, the trees retained leaves until December. 1995 was another november like this.
