    20.0C recorded at Lairg on the 23rd November 1906. It really was an exceptionally mild day with tropical maritime across the UK.

    Some readings from that period of 22nd-24th November 1906

    Ballinasloe: 19.4C on the 22nd and 23rd

    Dublin: 18.0C on the 24th

    Dunrobin Castle: 16.7C on the 23d

    Castletown: 16.7C on the 23rd

    Llandudno: 16.7C the 22nd

    Hitchin: 16.1C on the 22nd

    Ross-on-Wye: 15.9C on the 22nd

    Bury St Edmunds: 15.8C on the 22nd

    Edinburgh: 15.7C on the 24th

    Camden Square: 15.6C on the 22nd

    The CET for 22nd-30th November 1906 was 9.6C

    Some reports

    Ross-on-Wye: The last week was very fine and warmer than ever known so late in November

    Dublin: The mean temperature of the 22nd was 15.6C

    Omagh: The mildness of the end of the month was quite extraordinary.

    Classic Euro high there, looks very familiar. 1906 incidentally was also the year of 'the great Xmas snowstorm' which only goes to show that even unpalatable looking charts in late November dont always have to stay there in to winter
