Quite a strange morning here in a way, There's a particularly pronounced inversion here. If you look at observations across this area, even a few miles further up the same river valley, They are mainly 8 or 9C (a few 7C or 10C).

Yet here we seem to hae had a pocket of cold air trapped in the valley all night as it's 3.6C here currently! A station that's higher up about 1 mile away is 9.1C.

Hope this will work, but here's a comparison between my site (red) and the nearby one on a hillside (blue) on the Met Office's 'WOW' site. http://wow.metoffice...rement=dry_bulb

Here it's currently:

Temp: 3.5C (just dropped 0.1C)

Dew: 3.2C

Hum: 98%

Wind: calm

Pressure 1027.8mb

Min temp: 2.5C at 01:05

Incredible mild. Mostly cloudy at 12.3c, a good 9c above our usual 0800 temperature in late November. Should max at around 13c as uppers stay the same before dropping off after sunset. 5c uppers at 0000 replaced by -3c uppers at 0600 so could be a much more fun morning this time tomorrow :)

Should be quite interesting here later on, possibly up to Violent Storm 11 overnight. Interestingly, quite low dew point here already at just 2.6C. Expecting wintry showers on the back of this storm tomorrow afternoon and evening.

There is no weather station in scotland reporting snow, in fact the lowest temperature I can see is 8c in Stornoway. Some are reporting thunder so hail is possible.

And looking at the cameras, they appear to me to have some sort of image enhancement for night time on them which makes reflected light and the grass appear white.
