    Hi All,

    Saw this video earlier and though I'd share it with you all. It looks like a giant smoke ring, the kind you can blow if you smoke cigarettes, only, it appears it has come from a volcano.

    This has to be one of the strangest things i have ever seen in the natural world.

    Its a fake, this smoke ring was infact caught at Mt.Etna by none other than Geoff Mackley. Seems yet another idiot on YT has pulled stock video to call it 'their own.'

    I've seen something similar.

    It was a very still sunny day wilth a high pressure inversion over East Central Scotland. A local factory in Glenrothes had just fired up their boiler and must have had some sort of blowback. A large smoke ring was produced from the top of the tall chimney which persisted for about 30 mins before finally breaking up and dispersing.

    Don't know if the O/P vid is a fake or not but I believe it's quite possible for such a phenomena to be produced naturally if the conditions are right.
