Apologies, when I said does this include West Yorkshire I meant the possibility of snow tonight/tomorrow... :sorry:

Still yes, that is, if the showers are still crossing the Pennines.

Unfortunately there's a gap where the showers are crossing, and that gap is where I live. I'm not going to be seeing any snow any time soon.

Temperature has fallen to 6.8C. I guess one good thing is that the dewpoint is low. 3.6C..

That Polar Low should only affect the Northern Isles I'm afraid.

:( Chance it could move south though these are so tricky to predict?

No one knows exactly what's gonna happen today. It's a very complex set up to predict.

Down to 6.1C now. Unsure why it's falling, it's not raining?

Don't be sad - it's gone up to 1.6º here

All the way up to 1.6C?! Must be considering getting the shorts and sun-tan lotion out?!

Some flakes mixed in with the rain here. Temperature has plummeted down to 5.8C.

Rain turned to sleet and then wet snow for a short spelll around 30 minutes ago due to evaporative cooling i suspect, as the day gets cooler i expect these showers to become more wintry in nature.

Wet Snow on the higher ground In Littleborough 30 mins ago :) its coming.

A word of caution: The GFS precipitation charts shouldn't be taken at face value, a couple of days ago i was predicted 0mm of rain by the the latest GFS, and the UKMO was predicting heavy rain, i must have received about 20mm from the event, which wasn't due to a rogue shower or anything it was from a well forecasted frontal system.

Just because the GFS isn't predicting precipitation doesn't mean it won't happen... Always refer to the latest UKMO forecast! Or simply observe the radar :)

If we get strong enough wind from a west,North Westerly direction we always get showers across this region. Last year one Saturday morning we had a constant streamer across the region through my area and we got pasted, none of the models or the met office picked up on it until it happened.

Hmm, could be? Although I don't think that would cause the temperature to drop 2C in the space of 20 minutes, the uppers aren't that cold.

Like dusk here, 1.1º and hammering it down with snow!

You are so lucky.
