Looking like a very stormy week ahead from Monday evening right through to Friday.

Thursday/Friday's storm is still looking ridiculous, surely it can't play out as its been showing for the past few days? Just look at this thing from the GFS earlier!

Cheers Stormforce I am getting all choked up!!

Ok folks Friday is still on course for severe winds, looks like Donegal down to Louth to bear the brunt with Co.Down and Co.Louth to be hit the hardest?

Borrowed this from the Model Thread - maybe I am reading it wrong regarding the above statement??x3wvwo.jpg

scary scary storms being forecasted still by the models. still a chance we could luckily fall in the centre of the low and get away with the fiercest winds, but atm we look in for the strongest on Fridays and severe gales from Mon/Tue.

Same here, wet sleety snow but didn't expect anything today!

I stupidly copied the live image link for the chart above so its showing nothing now but it was crazy looking last night!

Still no real downgrade though, oddly the first storm on Tuesday seems to be harder to predict than the 2nd, still big changes on every run for Tuesday while Thursday has been the same for the past 3 days now with a potentially historic storm across most of Ireland. Still expecting a downgrade at some stage

GFS looks really quite devasting for RoI this eveing, widespread gusts getting upto the 75-90kts range in coastal locations and probably 70-80kts inland. GFS suggests sustained winds of about 40kts inland and maybe 50-55kts in the coastal locations and that in itself is pretty impressive for a storm like this.

Countryfile not going into much detail on Fridays storm but did say "big storm" and advised people to watch for updates. For tommorow night its not as powerful as last weeks but some areas look like seeing 70mph gusts with the low seeming to centre just to the North of NI.

Wouldn't get too excited, very light sleety rain is all I've gotten at the moment, looks quite intense on the radar but it doesn't seem to be doing much

Good news and Good news.

The "storm" looks like going south and less intense which means the colder air comes in quicker on Friday. Chance of widespread snow, the usual a bit of height helps caveats.
