This thread has been created to facilitate any snow potential anywhere across the UK in the foreseeable future.

TBH, it's probably worth locking this particular thread...With the MOD thread, atlantic storm thread, current weather threads and of course the regionals, posts in here will probably get lost and dilute some of the other threads already in place :)

I think the thread should be kept open! Plenty of people want to filter out unwanted posts such as unrelated snow posts & some people don't understand models. People like myself are looking for simplified down versions of when the forecasters think the snow is coming :D

Sorry for disagreeing.

OT: Can't wait for the snow to come. Does anyone idea if these ideas of snow will pan out over the next few days?

This is why I opened this. All the experts can discuss the long term model output, whilst us amateur coldies just want the watered down snowy stuff

My gut feel is this should be locked, we have threads all over the place, including local area threads for discussing these sorts of items. the thread will just fill and loose it's usefullness.

I think it will be a good idea to keep this thread open, I might actually be able to understand whether we are going to get snow without a load of complicated models + words.

Well according to Netweather itself, for my location snow is forecast Thursday and Friday, and the maximum temperature for the coming Monday is -3c, and the minimum is -11c! Will be interesting to see what comes of this...

you mean along the lines of...

SNOW = GOOD

NO SNOW = BAD?

:rofl:

In that case, the Caernarfon area of North Wales is Currently BAD even though further south it's GOOD.

Forecasts suggest it should be GOOD up here too, but it's not. Might be getting GOODer later though!
